So this right here is a bunch of progress shots and shots of the completed Impmon plush toy my friend Sailoranime (i’m not posting her name all over tumblr creepers but if you want to see her tumblr and the awesome stuff she posts click the following link http://sailoranime.tumblr.com/) has been making for me. 

Theres a long sappy story behind this, but the short of it is I was a lonely kid, Digimon spoke to me. I wanted so much to be a digidestened, I could never decide on a digimon of my own, I created original digimon, tried to find one that fit me, but then season 3 comes around and I meet Impmon, well ever since I’ve wanted him by my side to go on awesome adventures so I’ve always really wanted a life sized plush (especially cause we were poor when I was young and I couldn’t afford the american licensed Impmon plush, which I’m still looking for too this day! Reward if anyone finds/has one they want to sell) 

I’m thrilled, I’m working on a costume to go with it to wear and be comfortable in at this years C2E2. Me and this Imp should have a lot of fun! 


 Childhood dream? Despite being a small one, yes, and it’s totally been fulfilled. Can’t wait to get this little guy and see the awesome Sailoranime at c2e2

I opened the good old Digi-Port and some friends came to stay with me.

But now it’s time for bed and Impmon, Agumon, and Wormmon are ready for sleep.

((I think I have a problem, I’m 22 and still addicted to Digimon, I’m strangely okay with this.))

Impmon found a mysterious blue box in my room, he decided to enter it and it was bigger on the inside (and not made out of paper)

I always forget that they first entered the digiworld on my birthday, I always felt special for that fact as a child. I still do now, 13 years later.

All of us all all grown up now too. I loved Digimon, I’ll never forget that show either, sniff

 I love Digimon…. this brings back so many memories! Matt (Yamato) was the first cosplay I ever did. I actually wore Matt with one of my friends before we really knew what ‘cosplay’ was… it wasn’t for Halloween either… we were just weird kids and wore these outfits around town and to Kings Island and such. Some people may not consider it cosplay because it wasn’t at a convention but we took it far beyond just a halloween costume thing…

we were the characters.

I know its silly but its how I felt like cosplay was like destiny for me… it was really cool to learn that there was a real name for what we did, a name other than, weird or pathetic. Honestly I remember thinking “Wow there are others like me”

So yes, while this gives me ‘omg I love Digimon- feels’ it also gives me ‘wow, look at my past and my friends and where we were, what we’ve done and how far we’ve come- feels’ This is aimed at you Lydia, my best friend through middle school and Jr. High, we were twins, remember? C:

Digimon reminds me of my childhood and its really cool seeing how I have now grown up just like the characters.

Some of my toys and statues…..I think I may have a problem….and these are only the ones I have up…I have more that need to be put up.

I want to make cooler displays for all of these but don’t have the space, I kind of have something going on with the Young Justice toys, I’d explain why I took Aquaman down but that’s a little spoilery—oops.
